December 2019 hiking west of Tokyo

Hi,

I am Daniel. I live in Germany. I want to hike to the west of Tokyo when I am in Japan in December, 7-22, not the whole time of course. I am looking at day trips or two day trips. I know a few routes already that end in Hot Springs. This kind of thing would be ideal and the most fun, i.e. hike to the top of a mountain and back down the other side to end up in a Hot Spring at the end.
