Hotel Aomori is a 3-stars hotel located in Honcho district, a few hundred meters away from Mutsu Bay, in the north of Aomori’s city-center in Japan. Comfortable and with a good location, the hotel is the ideal base to visit the city and the main touristic sites of the prefecture.

Located less than 2 kilometers away from Aomori JR station and the tourist office, Hotel 🏨 Aomori is at the center of the city and allows to easily discover:

  • Mutsu Bay, which is a few hundred meters away; and,
  • Shinmachi and Yasukata shopping districts also a stone’s throw away.

Slightly off Aomori’s hotel district that settled around its station, the hotel therefore enjoys a good price for value, with standard rooms that are comfortable, clean and located at the upper floors of a modern building, offering an unobstructed view on the sea and the Mounts Hakkoda.

The hotel feels quite spacious, with brightness permeating to the lobby, which is quite enjoyable. The high ceilings, the shiny tiles and the polished stone walls warmed by the touches of wood can be admired from a small waiting lounge. The rooms occupy the 6th to 16th floors, with corridors flooded by natural light.

6 restaurants and cafés to try at the hotel

Hotel Aomori has 6 venues established at 3 different floors to cater to their customers. All the places are not continuously open, but there is nonetheless always a place to eat open during the day:

  • Swan is a classical restaurant and café located near the lobby, with a continuous service, very convenient for a meeting;
  • Delica Swan is more of a tea room and has good sweet confectioneries, including home-made deserts;
  • Michinoku is a Japanese restaurant at the 5th floor, open for lunch and serving dishes that are typical of Aomori;
  • Ryotei is a luxurious Japanese restaurant, also at the 5th floor and only upon reservation;
  • Le Bois is the panoramic restaurant of the hotel at the uppermost floor, specializing in buffet serving (breakfast, lunch and cocktails);
  • Montagne is the night bar of the hotel, also at the uppermost floor for the view, with a subdued atmosphere in the evening.

Moreover, Hotel Aomori has several banquet rooms that can be privatized for all types of business or family events (wedding, anniversary, seminar, etc.)

Hotel Aomori doesn’t particularly stand out for its interior decoration, but is a well-maintained business hotel providing a pleasant stay and managed by an obliging staff.
