I'm Perry, 31/M from New York City. Nice to e-meet you!
I'm a huge Japan Fan, this will be my fifth time to Japan and currently in my 6th semester of studying Japanese at the Japan Society. I've been to Hokkaido, Shikoku, a lot of Honshu, and now aiming to visit Kyushu and Okinawa (To especially enjoy the warm weather during winter) and am looking to connect with like minded adventurers to join in on an incredible journey through some of Japan's least traveled hidden gems!
Some examples of things I want to do/see/experience is attend a Kintsugi class, Taste Nagashi Somen, Relax in some Sand Baths, take a helicopter Tour of a volcano and travel to the 10 One Piece Statues
1 Month is a long time to travel with anyone, so I would be happy to connect with folks and tell you my plans. From there, you can decide when and how long to join the journey for.
Here's the breakdown:
Season/Period: Late November - Late December 2025 - Roughly 1 month travel (First week and a half in Tokyo, Kyoto, etc, two and a half weeks in Kyushu and Okinawa)
Lodging: Mostly Cheaper Hostels/Hotels/Shukubo/Minshuku/AirBnb and maybe 1-3 Fancy Pants Hotels
Food Allergies: I don't eat any pork
Preference on Travel Companion - Age Range between 25-35, someone who is adventurous, curious, open minded and is relatively physically fit (walking/hiking/biking/swimming) if you can rent a car/drive in Japan, that's a huge plus but not required
Miscellaneous:
Favorite Sports: Biking, Rollerblading, Frisbee
Favorite Video Games: Hollow Knight, Pokemon Fool's Gold, Inscryption
Favorite Japanese Food: Tempura, Shabu Shabu and Sushi, of course!
Some Favorite Anime: Space Dandy, Code Geass, Akudama Drive

Iāll be traveling solo to Japan for the first time this December (9ā18) and would love to connect with other travelers along the way.
My plan:
ā¢ Tokyo ā Arriving on Dec 9, staying for 2 days to explore the city vibes.
ā¢ Then heading to Kanazawa and Shirakawa-go for the winter scenery.
ā¢ After that, Iāll go down to Kyoto, with side trips to Osaka and Nara.
ā¢ Finally, Iāll head back to Tokyo to visit Mt. Fuji before flying home.
Iām just looking to make some fun memories, take nice photos, and maybe share a few meals or day trips with other solo travelers. If youāll be around any of these areas during the same time, feel free to reach out! š
