Sabbatical to Tohoku in early June 2023

From May 27, 2023 to June 11, 2023

I’m in my mid 40s, visiting from end May to Mid June. I’m relatively well traveled in Japan, but have never slowly went through the Tohoku area. Also *may* want to travel around Gunma, Nikko area, and Yokohama. Basically planning as much as I can before arrival, or go with the flow. I might prefer to visit scenic spots, very simple hiking, nothing too rushed. My budget for travel is “budget”, however, if required, I can spend like a normal working adult. Eg. Ryokans, hostels, rental car, are all okay. Looking to immerse myself with the local language/culture while traveling. Studied+failed JLPT 2 eons ago, conversationally at JLPT 4 the most. I watch Naruto/Takumi if that help. :)
