Harry Potter Shop Harajuku is the 1rst Harry Potter shop in Japan that opened on August 14, 2025 in Tokyo’s Harajuku neighborhood. Following London and New York’s shops, it is the third of the franchise and its decor is inspired by Hogwarts’ Forbidden Forest.

Harry Potter Shop Harajuku is an immersive place inaugurated by Tom Felton, the famous actor playing Draco Malfoy in the movies, and the 1rst permanent store in Japan dedicated to the famous wizard. As a matter of fact, Tokyo already had a popup store, the Harry Potter Mahodokoro located in Akasaka district, set up to close in June 2025. However, its actual popularity allowed for the ephemaral shop to reopen on the next July, with a slight change of name as it became Harry Potter Shop Akasaka.

These shops complete the 2 Harry Potter theme parks 🎡 in Japan attracting thousands of visitors each year, namely:

  • The Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo - The Making of Harry Potter located in Nerima in the north-west of the capital and inaugurated in June 2023; and,
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened since mid-2014 in Osaka’s Universal Studio Japan.

Directly connected to Meiji-Jingumae station, the Harry Potter Shop Harajuku is easy to reach and spreads over 900sqm.
