The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome is a 4-stars hotel located in the central south of the Japanese capital, in the heart of a business district and near Tokyo Bay. Its luxury rooms provide a beautiful view on the city and especially on the Tokyo Tower and the contemporary cityscape of Minato ward.

The Royal Park Hotel 🏨 Iconic Tokyo Shiodome is homed in a glass tower perfectly blending into the modern vertical landscape of Shiodome business district, that has been developing since the beginning of the 2000s. This side of Minato ward is thus home to many skyscrapers, aerial bridges and is also a transportation hub at the mouth of Sumida-gawa river in Tokyo, in the south of the capital.

Shiodome is a convenient area to stay after a flight ✈️ to Tokyo, especially when landing in Haneda Airport, which is located about 15 kilometers south. The neighboring Shimbashi Station is served by several train 🚅 lines, including Tokyo Metro and the Yamanote Line, offering easy rides to the center of the capital. The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome is also within walking distance to:

  • Several shopping malls with restaurants, such as Caretta and Shiodome City Center for the closest ones;
  • Nippon TV Odokei, also nicknamed Miyazaki’s clock;
  • Hama Rikyu Garden;
  • Tsukiji Outer Market;
  • Izakaya bars under Yurakucho’s railway tracks;
  • Ginza’s department stores; and,
  • The iconic Tokyo Tower.

Furthermore, the streets are quiet in the evening and on the weekend as the area is mainly frequented by office workers. A comfortable and relaxing place in the heart of Tokyo, the hotel provides a restful stay, like in a bubble isolated from time and space. A small gym is available 24/7 for customers at the B2F underground floor, but it is also pleasant to just go for a run in the area on a Sunday morning. One quickly feels at ease in this sophisticated yet laid-back setting, with views on Tokyo’s rooftops.

Admiring the urban panorama

The "iconic" in the hotel’s name highlights the wonderful city view on Tokyo that unfolds under the customers’ eyes. The panoramic view is mesmerizing day and night, especially:

  • The Tokyo Tower 🗼, and its night illumination;
  • The silhouette of Mount Fuji 🗻 that appears on clear weather days;
  • The railway tracks, including the Tokaido Shinkansen tracks sliding between the buildings;

  • The historical Hamarikyu garden surrounded by moats filled with sea water; and,
  • The Tokyo SkyTree in the north-east.

These elevated views can also be enjoyed from the hotel’s bar and restaurant, where breakfast is served every morning in a sweet and savory buffet. Dishes can be cooked on demand, especially egg-based dishes, such as egg Benedict with ham, or an onigiri 🍙 rice ball sided with a rolled omelet. Even more enjoyable is the possibility to taste Japanese food from morning, as the buffet also has mini-chirashi dishes and matcha tea to name a few.
